I grew up in South Africa, a country of stunning natural beauty and wildlife; a treasure trove
of opportunities for the photographer. My interest in photography was sparked at a young age when
my dad would pull the car uncomfortably close to some heavyweight elephant or rhino to get that
“ultimate” shot. Soon I joined him with my own little camera and was happily snapping away on family trips.
These days I live in Boise, (Idaho, USA) with my family; and I am still taking pictures! I enjoy the
whole spectrum: from newborn and family shoots to weddings. I have discovered a special talent for getting people to relax, be themselves and even enjoy their time in front of the camera. (I practiced on elephants, remember!) My style is informal and comforting; it enables me to create images that are real, meaningful and lasting.
